What is Optical Illusion ??

February 15th, 2009 | Category: Education,General

Was talking with my cousin and out of the conversation, she missed reading a word and started scolding me. So then she tried to cover it by saying it was just optical illusion. Suddenly I thought of posting something regarding optical illusion. Have a look at the spinning dancer below :

Spinning Dancer

The dancer seems to be clockwise and also anti-clockwise.
This is called optical illusion.

Have a closer look and enjoy yourself.

New speaker, Edifier M3300

February 03rd, 2009 | Category: Technology

I wouldn’t say I’m a speaker lover or something, but I do care about sound quality. When I bought my new desktop, I didn’t really care of getting a new speaker, I just used my old set of speakers. After sometime, the speaker’s start giving some slight problem. Suddenly I wouldnt be able to hear from one side and I have to adjust to make it work back. It wasn’t a big problem, but i had in mind to get a new speaker.

So i was doing some research on which speaker to buy. I realise that LowYat.Net forumers commented well on Edifier’s sound clarity. I had not made my mind but was interested in Creative speakers since I have a Creative sound card. I focus more on the clarity than the bass. So few days back I had a chance to go to LowYat to set up a new system for one my client. I went with my dad, and after getting the items, I went to compare some speakers. I was a bit interested in the Creative speakers and then a guy who is working there came and asked me, what is your budget sir. I didn’t really answer him the first time.  But then I told him, about 200 since the Creative speaker is about 200. Immidietly he showed me, here sir.. Listen to this..

That’s when I saw, EDIFIER M3300. This is the picture of it :

Subwoofer

Satelite

I don’t really like spending so much on a speaker..Bought this speaker for RM 220.
The design is very simple actually.
Except the speakers are slim. The sub-woofer is DAMN heavy and has a heat reducer at the back.
The subwoofer is 25 W and the satelites are 8 W each, which makes a total of 41 W.

Other pictures of it :

Heat sink

Slim satelite

Remote

Comes with a remote as well. Has a microphone input and also another input for any source(AUX).

Set

This is how it looks, beside my LCD. Quite nice from the front I guess..

And finally, I would say I’m very satisfied with the sound quality of this speaker. Its very clear and the bass does not intefere with the clarity of the sound. If there was a speaker I would recommend for anyone to buy.. It would be this !!
