Category: General, Technology

Its been a few days since I see my computer screen. Been to Low Yat to get a new set of computer. After quite some time of planning and also one whole tiring day at Low Yat, my first experience of assembling a PC succeeded.

I got all these items from Low Yat and fixed them :

1. Asus M2A-VM motherboard
2. AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.6Ghz
3. Kingston PC6400 DDR2 800 1GB RAM x2
4. Seagate 250 GB SATA2 16MB Hard disk
5. Sony DVD - RW DRU-845S
6. A cool FRD Casing
7. Cooler Master 460 W Power Supply
8. A LG Flatron LCD Monitor

and I used additional items which I already have in my previous PC such as :

1. Sony CD-ROM ( for easier burning )
2. Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 Live!
3. A firewire card

Fixed all of them, and its working !!!

I also got extra items like :

1. Sonic Gear EVO 3 Pro Speaker
2. Extra fans for my casing
3. A headset ( AVF )

Here are some photo’s of my new computer.

Lucky you! I wish I had a desktop. Mind telling us how much to setup such a rig.

[Yea, sure. I spent about RM 2.2 k in total. Approximately RM 1.4 k for the computer, RM 700 for the LCD Screen and RM 100 for the Speaker and other accessories.]

May I ask you how much is your motherboard? Does it support crossfire or SLI? Did you buy a graphics card?

[My mobo cost about 240 when I bought it. Nop doesnt support SLI and I didnt buy graphic card. I don't play games and furthermore, this graphics is very good. Tried CS Source and never lag a little bit...]
